SRA Khalil Jefferson served honorably in the United States Air Force as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Apprentice. His awards included, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, AF Overseas Ribbon (long) AF Training Ribbon.

The Family of Khalil Jefferson is setting a memorial walk for their honored veteran. The walk takes approximately 25 min from Green Springs Park to the location where the service will be held next to the Tar River. It is the Ride CPT’s wish to have flags posted along the trail and have volunteers posted along the route as guests pass. Once majority of guest pass, we will converge at the memorial site hosted by the funeral home where we will stand a flag line for the rendering of Military Honors. If you have a sturdy folding chair it would be appreciated if you could bring one, given the distance of the walk some guest may need a resting spot. After the rendering of Military Honors, we will again stand post along the path for the guest departure. Please bring water as this area is somewhat remote. Check the weather and dress appropriately there are no facilities nearby.
Bikes are not needed for this event but are welcome.
Cages are welcome as always!
