Northeast-Wounded Warriors in Action Escort

Patriots, The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested by the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation to Escort this year’s Wounded Warriors " Purple Heart Recipients " to their Waterfowl Hunting Trip.
Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation (WWIA) is a national 501(c)(3) public charity that devotes all of its energy and resources to supporting the men and women wounded in combat who were awarded the Purple Heart Medal. WWIA supports these phenomenal Heroes by providing them with the opportunity to participate in world-class outdoor sporting activities at no cost to them. They do this as a means to recognize and honor their sacrifice, encourage independence and connections with communities, and promote healing and wellness through camaraderie and a shared passion for the outdoors.
PART ONE
Date: 18 Jan 2023
Time: 1:00 pm
Place: The Old Kmart Shopping Center
6100 N. Military Hwy.
Norfolk, Va. 23513
We will escort from the Norfolk International Airport to the N.C. Welcome and then the NCPGR will escort these Warriors to Powells Point, NC.
We will stage and conduct the brief. Following the brief, we will proceed as a group to the airport and await the arrival of the Wounded Warriors.
Upon arrival of the Wounded Warriors, we will mount up and escort them to the N.C. Welcome Center.
This will be a LEO assisted escort.

Place: Currituck Outer Banks Visitor’s Center

We will stage and await the arrival of the escort from the Norfolk Airport. Upon their arrival we will stand the flag line welcoming them to North Carolina. Once they are ready to depart, we will mount up and escort them to the Kilmarnick West Side Athletic Club 101 Wimbledon Court Powells Point N.C. 27966.
