The NCPGR will be holding a Christmas Party for all members and the Honor Guard of the VFW Post 6060. We will have an evening of Brotherhood and Christmas Cheer.

Guest Speaker will be Retired US Army Colonel Barry J. Flye.
Colonel Flye served in the 5th Infantry Division as a mechanized infantry platoon leader, infantry company executive officer, mechanized infantry battalion support platoon leader, and brigade assistant S4. Following completion of the Infantry Officer Advance Course, he served as the S1 for the 2nd Brigade 25th Infantry Division Hawaii, the 1-14th Infantry battalion assistant S3 and rifle company commander of Bravo Company 1-14th Infantry Battalion. Following company command he served as an assistant professor of military science at his alma mater Hampton University. He transitioned from the active component accepting a position as an Assistant S3 with 2/318th MP Bn (OSUT) Ft Eustis Va, as a Major was selected to command 4/318 MP Bn (OSUT) Alexandria Va. His next assignment was as a Joint Planner within the Joint Forces Command (JFCOM) J9 Joint Experimentation Directorate, Joint Reserve Unit. During this time period his civilian career was as an Operations Analyst within the United States Army Cadet Command’s Strategic Initiatives Group where he was a charter member. In 2004 he was selected to augment C\426th Civil Affairs Bn as a Plans Officer mobilizing to Iraq. Following completion of the Civil Affairs Qualification Course at Ft Bragg, NC, he deployed to Iraq for a year serving on two Mobile Iraqi Training Teams; with the 42nd ID and the 101st Airborne Division; training Iraqi brigade HQ’s staffs in Civil Military Operations. He was returned to the Joint Reserve Unit following his tour in Iraq, promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and served as the JRU J9 Army Element Chief. He was later selected as the Deputy Brigade Commander, 3rd Brigade 104th Training Division, following promotion to Colonel he was selected as the Assistant Chief of Staff Intelligence Operations G-2, 200TH Military Police Command. He later served as the 200TH Military Police Command G-5 until his retirement in 2015.
