Northeast Groundbreaking Ceremony-Sgt. James King USMC ret.

Fellow Patriots, we have been invited to Stand a Flag Line to Honor Sgt. James “Jimmy” King, USMC Ret. at the groundbreaking ceremony for his new home, being presented by Barnhill Family Foundation and the Helping a Hero Organization.
In 2004, Sergeant King was deployed to Ramadi, Iraq, and while on patrol their unit was hit by a roadside bomb. Sgt. King lost his left leg in that attack and was in a coma for 3 ½ weeks. After a long rehabilitation to learn to walk gain, he committed himself to remain active. He had participated in over a dozen marathons using a hand cycle and looks forward to having his adapted, wheelchair accessible, home built in Rocky Mount.

We will set the Flag Line for the arrival of Sgt. King and his family. We will Stand tall with Honor as several local groups present the Colors and recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sign the National Anthem. Country Music performer Lee Greenwood will also be a guest of Honor and will perform a song.
