CSSN James Adkins served our Country Honorably, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. He served as a Chef aboard a Navy ship. Following 4 years active duty he continued to serve in the Navy Reserve for another 9 years for a total of 13 years. He continued his service to his fellow servicemen by becoming active in the Greenville NC DAV chapter. He was a Deacon at his church. He received the following medals during his Service to our Country; National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Navy Good Conduct Medal.
