Rolling Glory 3 - 13 Flag Tribute Escort, Active Duty
US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy - GW/ODS, WoT
Elizabeth City, North Carolina
About the Mission:
Rolling Glory 3 (RG3) features a relay of 13 American flags, one for each of the 13 Heroes who valiantly gave their lives during a suicide attack at the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26, 2021.
This relay began at Roadhouse Biker Church in San Bernardino, California. Hellfighters Christian Ministries sponsored this Memorial Ride to honor those who gave all at Kabul, Afghanistan and all service men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
The Patriot Guard Riders are honored to have been asked to be part of the NC leg of this escort, prior to their transfer to Virginia where they will be placed at Arlington National Cemetery or the US Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, VA
Primary Staging Details:
VFW Post 6060
1433 N Road St
Elizabeth City, NC 27909
We will need 14 bikes to carry the 13 US Flags honoring each of the heroes, plus the “Betsy Ross” Old Glory Flag. No flag mount is required, the flag poles include a mount for mounting on the passenger footrest on Harley or similar bikes or the rear crash bar on a Goldwing. The flag mount may preclude a passenger from riding on some bikes. Only the RG3 flags will be flown on the bike carrying it (no other large flags). All bikes to receive a flag will be identified by the Ride Captain in Charge. All bikes not carrying a RG3 flag may fly flags and banners.
Each flag will be transferred, and the name of the Hero’s name associated with that flag will be spoken.
Cages are welcome to be part of this escort. PLEASE Be properly Hydrated prior to arrival. Ensure you are topped off with fuel prior to arrival.
After all flags are securely mounted and completion of the safety brief, we will mount up and proceed to the Museum of the Albemarle where we will transfer the flags to be an exhibit until 8/27.
