OSCS(SW) Richard Lee Morgan, U.S. Navy Retired, served our country Honorably for 34 years. As he Stood for our Country, we will now Stand with Respect and Show Honor for his Service.
Senior Chief Morgan started his career aboard the USS S.B. Roberts DD823. He also served aboard the USS Sumter LST1181, Instructor at Defense Systems Management College, Staff billet at FLTCORGRU Two and retired at COMSIXTHFLT.
His list of awards includes, but are not limited to; Vietnam Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Medal, Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Services Commendation Medal, Sea Service Deployment Medal (4 Awards), Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal (4 awards), Overseas Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and the Battle Efficiency (E) Ribbon.

We will mount up and escort Senior Chief Morgan and his family on the first part of his Final Voyage to His Final Resting Place at Quantico National Cemetery.
All Flag mounts will be inspected for highway speeds. Ensure you are fully topped off with fuel. This first leg will be 110 miles.
All members of VA PGR District 5 that wish to join in the escort are encouraged to meet and join in this first part of the Mission. We will be traveling through but will not stop in District 5.
We will turn over the escort to VA PGR District 4 in Providence Forge. Those wishing to continue to Quantico are welcome to do so.
Please ensure you are fully hydrated and have fluids to drink enroute. This will be a 2-hour run with no stops.
