Elvis Jerome Cook served Honorably in the United States Navy as a Machinist Mate Second Class (MM2) aboard the USS Puget Sound AD-36. His awards include; Battle Efficiency Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal (2 awards), and the Expert Rifle (M-16) Medal.
After retiring from the Navy he was employed by Crystal Clear Technologies. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars where he was awarded All State and All-American Honors. He was past District Commander of Districts 4 and 8 and Past Post CDR of Post 7547 and 4542. He was also an active member of the Military Order of Cooties and was past Grand Commander and was an active member of the American Legion.

We will set the Flag Line for the arrival of Friends and Family. Following the Celebration of Life we will mount up and escort MM2 Cook and his family to his Final Resting Place at the Pine View Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
Those wishing to Stand the Flag Line at the cemetery for the rendering of Military Honors, and are not in the escort from the Funeral Home, should arrive at the cemetery, 761 E Raleigh Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27803, no later than 1130 am.
