The family of retired U.S. Army veteran Michael William Meyer has requested Patriot Guard Riders’ (PGR) support for their fallen hero. SFC Meyer passed on 26 January 2021 at the age of 55.
SFC Meyer served honorably in the Army for 21 years & 2 months, leaving military service in October 2003. He was a Vehicle Mechanic/Operator (63B), of note with two tours of duty in Iraq. Military decorations include a Bronze Star, 9 ARCOMs, 2 Army Achievement Medals, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, 2 Overseas Service Ribbons, and Parachutist Badge.

This mission consists of a flag line only: Graveside Memorial Service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery – Spring Lake, NC.
Date: 8 February 2021 (Monday)
Stage & Briefing: 11:30 am.
Flag Line: 12:00 pm. (Noon) – 12:30 pm.
Location: Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd, Spring Lake, NC.
Temperatures are expected to be 42-48 degrees, with no chance of precipitation. Motorcycles are not required. Flags will be provided.
