Brothers and sisters, the family of U.S. Army Vietnam veteran Ivan Edward Antoine (Ret) has requested Patriot Guard Riders’ (PGR) support for their fallen hero. Sergeant First Class (SFC) Antoine passed on 29 March 2021, at the age of 86.
SFC Antoine served his country honorably for 20 years, 7 months, 23 days. He spent his military career as an Infantryman and Indirect Fire Crewman (11B, 11C). His awards and decorations include an Expeditionary Medal for service in the Dominican Republic, Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB), Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star w/V Device w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and Master Parachutist Badge. // Obituary can be viewed at the web page of Duncan Mackie Funeral Home, St. Paul’s, NC. //
This mission consists of 2 flag lines and a motorcycle escort. Date: 7 May 2021 (Friday)
Stage: 10:00 am. Briefing: 10:15 am. 1st Flag Line: 10:30 am. – 11:15 am. Location: Providence Presbyterian Church, 400 Eastwood Avenue, Fayetteville, NC 28311 (near Old VA Hospital, Ramsey Street, Fayetteville).
Escort: KSU from Church @12:40 pm. with LEO support to cemetery.
2nd Flag Line: 1:00 pm. Location: Sandhills State Veterans’ Cemetery, Fort Bragg, NC (with military honors).
Temperatures are expected to be 60-72 degrees with >5% chance of rain. Flag line flags will be provided. Motorcycles with flags are encouraged.
