During her career in the United States Air Force she served as a Security Forces Journeyman. Thia Lynn Wheeler served honorably for over 8 years. Her awards include the Meritorious Unit Award with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Ribbon, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Longevity Service, United States Air Force NCO PME Graduate Ribbon, and Air Force Training Ribbon.
