The Patriot Guard Riders have the honor of standing a silent flag-line during the visitation of SFC Daniel Thomas Schewe on Thursday, 24 October, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Lafayette Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00AM Friday, October 25, at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
During his career of 24 years, SFC Schewe served in communications as a Commo Sergeant and Radio Operator/Maintenance. His awards include the Korean Master Parachutist Badge, Bronze Star (3rd Award), Joint Service Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal (7th Award, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (8th Award, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (8th Award, National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 campaign Stars, and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
