EWC Melvin Wayne Kuykendall, U.S. Navy, served our country Honorably for 28 years. During his career, he accomplished 4 tours in Vietnam, retiring from his last Command, USS Independence CV-62 in 1987. He Earned and was awarded the following: National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal (4 awards), Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Navy Expeditionary Medal.

We will Stage and prepare to escort EWC Kuykendall to his Final Resting Place at the Albert G Horton Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk Virgina. This will be a 1pm Service.
KSU up at the Funeral Home at approx. 1130.
Upon arrival at the cemetery, we will set the Flag Line for the Committal Service and Military Honors.
Ensure you are topped off with fuel prior to arrival at the Funeral Home. Ensure all flags are rigged for highway speeds.
