Patriots, we have been asked to Stand for a Gold Star Veteran, Pvt. Richard Doyle Oxx, U.S. Army.
While in High School Ricky, as his friends called him, lost him brother, KIA in Vietnam. After graduating in 1972 from High School, Ricky joined the Army. He spent his entire 4 year enlistment in Korea.
Ricky was known in the area for his expertise in repairing wooded boats, He was an expert carpenter, specializing in the inside trim work of boats. His work brought him immense joy and fulfillment.
We will set the Flag Line for the arrival of family and friends as they attend his Celebration of Life. Pvt. Oxx will be buried at a later date with full Military Honors in a National Cemetery.
