The Patriot Guard Riders have the honor of standing a silent flag-line before the service for Charles Edsol Brooks JR. The service will be 1:00PM Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Miller-Boles Funeral Home. He served his country honorable, including tours in Vietnam. During his time in Vietnam, he served as a helicopter door gunner. Specialist Brooks was a decorated Veteran and his military awards include the following: Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Sharpshooter(Rifle), Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Two Overseas Bars, and Aircraft Crewman Badge. Charles retired after 25 years of service with the National Guard. He was a member of the VFW Post #5631 and DAV Chapter 5. Mr. Brooks was proud of his military service. His family was also proud of him for honorably serving our country
