H.O.T.H.: 4th Annual Wounded Hero's Walk

Fellow Patriots:
Once again the Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand a flag line for the 4th Annual Wounded Heroes Day Walk.
Please join us in honoring the sacrifices of those who continue to bear the costs of duty to our country. Wounded Heroes Day was signed into law by Governor Cooper in 2021 in a rarity for our legislature - a bipartisan, unanimous vote to make April 24th of each year Wounded Heroes Day in the state of North Carolina. This day was chosen in honor of April 24, 2010, SGT Michael Verardo's Alive Day, when he suffered catastrophic and life changing injuries in Afghanistan.
Mission date: 21Apr24
Staging time: 12:15pm
Staging location: Marvin Elementary School, 9700 Marvin School Rd., Marvin, NC 28173 Map: maps.app.goo.gl/s5499nxhntfp8xdi7
Briefing time: 12:20 pm
After the briefing we shall shuttle down to the Marvin Village Hall where the Heroes will walk in a short parade, After the parade has passed by the flag line we shall stand down and join in the festivities if you would like to.
