About the Mission:
The Patriot Guard Riders have the honor of standing a silent flag-line during the visitation for James Wesley Wadsworth at Rockfish Church. He served his country for over twenty years, retiring from the Army with the rank of First Sergeant. He was a veteran of the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf Wars (post-retirement service). He also served in many international deployments, including Japan (where he was stationed three times), Germany, the Philippines, and Thailand. He also served in various posts in the United States, including Fort Bragg, NC, where he ultimately retired. 1SG Wadsworth was a decorated Veteran.
His military awards include the following: Good Conduct Medal 6th Award, National Defense Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, United Nations Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal 3rd Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Unit Citation, and Meritorious Service Medal.
