Honor Mission for Teresa Lynn Irizarry

Brothers and Sisters of the PGR and Friends, it is with a heavy heart that I come to you today with a call to once again stand silent and proud for one who stood for us. We have been asked to provide a flag line and escort in honor of Teresa Lynn Irizarry. We will answer this call as always, with Honor and Respect.



Teresa met the love of her life while he was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and while she was serving in the U.S. Navy at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan.

Following her military service, she completed the apprenticeship program and began working as a Pneumatic Systems Mechanic at FRC East for more than 21 years. She rose through the ranks to obtain the status of becoming the first female test cell operator and achieved the rank of WG-10.



Teresa will be lovingly missed and be in their hearts forever by her husband, six sons, one brother, ten grandchildren, as well as many friends.



This will be a two part Mission.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 14,2021 at Cotten Funeral Home



We will be staging at Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC 28560

for briefing and set flags at 3:00pm on March 13, 2021.



We will be staging at Cotten Funeral at 1:00pm for briefing and set flags on March 14, 2021.



We will be rendering Honors and escorting Teresa to New Bern Memorial Cemetery with military honors presented by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.

BE ADVISED: Part of this escort will be a slow ride. Halfway to New Bern Memorial Cemetery, we will be stopping in front of a church where Teresa will be transferred from the hearse to a horse drawn carriage and taken the rest of the way to New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

3:30 - man flag line, stand-by for family and friends

6:00pm - Stand down and quietly depart



Staging 2: March 14, 2021, Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC 28560 at 1:00pm - briefing and set flags

1:00pm - briefing and set flags

1:30pm - man flag line, stand-by for family and friends

2:00pm Celebration begins, stand down and stand-by for honors and escort.
