Franklin D. Smith served our country Honorably in the U. S. Navy, having served from 1963-1965 during the Vietnam War. Franklin was an avid member of the American Legion and he was also a member of the 40 and 8, an invite only veterans group. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal as a Navy Aircraft Mechanic
