Patriot Guard Brothers and Sisters. It is with great sadness that I post a mission for a heroic veteran and the spouse of one of our close PGR brothers. Vivian Dianne McCoy (wife of William “Bill” McCoy) went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the age of 75. She fought a long battle, with Bill at her side.
"Dianne" was a U.S. Army nurse and served honorably within the Woman’s Army Corps. While assigned at the Army hospital in Kansas, she met Bill. They married in 1967. After leaving military service, she continued serving as a military spouse for 20 years. Dianne enjoyed making crafts and working with her hands. (Obituary is listed with Jernigan Warren Funeral Home, Fayetteville, NC.)
Vivian is survived by her husband-Bill, son-James, and four grandchildren.
This mission consists of two flag lines and a motorcycle escort.
Date: 6 March 2021 (Saturday)
Stage: 10:00 am.
Briefing: 10:15 am.
Flag Line #1: 10:45 am. until beginning of funeral service (1:00 pm.)
Location: New Life Baptist Church, 6501 Camden Road, Fayetteville, NC
Escort: Departure is planned for KSU @ 2:15 pm.
LEO will lead escort to burial location: Lafayette Memorial Park-West, 6701 Raeford Road (across from 71st High School).
Flag Line #2: Immediately upon arrival at cemetery, @ 2:30 pm.
Temperatures are expected to be 44-54 degrees, with no chance of precipitation.
Motorcycles with flags are welcome. Flag Line flags will be furnished.
I am honored to be the POC and RCIC for this mission.
