SP4 Joseph Carroll Lane Sr. joined the U.S. Army and served honorably with the HHC 1st Bn 508th Infantry. He earned his Parachutist Badge. After his 3-year active duty he served with the USAR Control Group (Reinforcement) XII USA Corps.
