ABOUT THE MISSION:
Once again we have lost another fine Veteran who passed away quietly in his home. Mr. Lowery served in the US Army and retired as an MSGT. Prior to Mr. Lowery enlistment he worked for the public schools of Guilford County before he enlisted in the Army. He enlisted as part of the original 1-87 Infantry cohort with the famed 10th Mountain Division in 1987. He served multiple combat tours post 9-11 in both Iraq & Afghanistan. Mr. Lowery earned the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge among numerous other awards. Mr. Lowery served his country honorably until his retirement in 2016. After retiring from the military Mr. Lowery was a board member of the Infidel Inc, a Veteran nonprofit. Mr. Lowery also was focus on stopping veteran suicide something he truly love and spent many hours devoting his time. He was a true veteran and very genuine & kind Man. His absence has and will leave a huge hole in the veteran community and for ever missed.

At 2:15pm we will have a quick briefing and then establish a flag line for Mr. Lowery family and friends. There will be a 45 minute visitation then the services will start. Once the services starts at 3pm we will stand down and depart the area.
NOTE: There will be no escort from from Phillips Funeral Home to Salisbury. Please meet at the Cemetery.
