ABOUT THE MISSION:

Theodore J. Ross, who passed away at the age of 102, served this country as a member of the greatest generation during WWII and was the recipient of a Silver Star and Purple Heart. We will be escorting his remains and family to the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel, 900 South Orme Street, Arlington, VA 22204 in preparation for his service at Arlington National Cemetery on October 14 at 1:00 pm. The NC PGR will escort with great assistance from the VA PGR thru their state. The ANC element of the VA PGR will publish a separate mission for the service on October 14.

Special Instructions:

We will be providing escort for the cremated remains of Mr. Ross and family. We depart at 8:00 am and will proceed to I-40, Mt. Olive, Dudley, VA (for a gas stop, Speedway, 2775 US 117), then to Skippers, VA (Love's Travel Stop, 770 Moore's Ferry Road) for gas and link up with the VA PGR. The VA PGR will assume the lead and continue on I-95 to exit 104 (Love's Travel Stop, 23845 Rogers Clark Blvd, Ruther Glen, VA) for a gas stop. We will then proceed to the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel (900 South Orme Street, Arlington, VA 22204) where this mission will end. The ANC element of the VA PGR will publish a separate mission for the escort and service that is scheduled for 1:00 pm on October 14 at Arlington National Cemetery. Large flags are not recommended as we will be traveling at highway speeds.
