The Patriot Guard Riders have the honor of standing a silent flag-line during the visitation of James Douglas "Bud" Sifford Sr. from 12:00PM until 1:30PM, followed by an escort to Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

He during his career he served as a Utility Helicopter Repairer and Power Generator Equipment Repairer. Staff Sergeant (E6) Sifford served honorably with over 20 years of service. His awards include the Nation Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, Expert (rifle), Good Conduct Medal (6 Awards), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (1), and the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (1).
