Timothy G. Gernhardt, originally from Philadelphia, PA, served his country faithfully and honorably in the United States Marine Corps retiring as a 1st Sgt. For his honorable service and tours of duty in Kuwait he was awarded the Navy and Marine Commendation Medal w/1 Star, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal w/2 Stars, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal w/1 Silver Star, Sea Deployment Ribbon w/1 Silver Star, NDSM, Nato Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation w/4 Stars, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy "E" Battle Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal w/1 Star, Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), Southwest Asia Service Medal w/2 Stars, and the Armed Forces Service Medal Expert Rifle and Pistol.
